Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Early Childhood or Elementary Education with PA certification
- PA Teaching Certification
- Knowledge of Project Approach and Reggio Emilia
- Exemplary communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to collaborate while maintaining a strong community approach to education, focusing on the whole child, not only academics (Conflict resolution, manners, confidence, self-control, are an important part of our program along with attending to the emotional life of young children).
- Proficiency in using iPads and word processors for authentic assessments, parent communication, and newsletters
- Passion for developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience with nature-based play
- Teachers implement Project Approach incorporating inquiry and provocations.
- The arts are a high priority as are writing, reading, math, science, engineering, technology, Spanish, Sign Language, music, multiculturalism, fine and large motor skills.
- Teachers enjoy a strong community of colleagues, children, and parents who work collaboratively to ensure success for all students.
- Teachers gain skills and confidence working in a pleasant environment while sharing solid research based educational strategies in small group settings with children ages 3-4, as well as Kindergarten students.
Assistant Teacher (salary range starting at $30,000)
